STUCCO VS STONE

Orange County Museum of Art,

Stucco VS Stone explores the two polar opposite worlds of how architecture is treated. The preserved vs the disposable. For this piece I took images from architecturally significant areas in and around Lisbon, Portugal (where I live half of the year). My interest is in taking these architectural elements that are hundreds of years old and infusing them into a space where they are impermanent and will slowly destruct and fall apart.

Material - Photographs, wood, decomposed granite, gravel and ceramic
